There's not much plot to this series. It seems to be more character driven than anything else. I get that the main point is Maria's quest for redemption and to learn how to love herself, but I wish it had a better plot. It's just one petty occurrence after another.
I don't see that it's really going anywhere. I like the series ok, this is a low 3, but I think it would be better if there was an actual story with substance and out of the events Maria begins to come into her own. I also think there might be too much introspection going on. I'd like it more if it wasn't same self recriminations replaying in each volume like a broken record.
