This is a book I’m genuinely conflicted about. On one hand, the overall story and horror aspects were SO good that I couldn’t put the book down. On the other hand, the weird male author fetishy content regarding the female and Inuit characters made me so angry I almost quit reading several times. This is a perfect example of why I don’t read books written by men and why I hate historical fiction.
