Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

3.0

This book dragged itself for at least the first half of it. The characters fell flat to me, I wasn’t sold on any of them, they felt staged and very one-sided, too stereotypical. The dialogues did not sound real either. The turn of the book for me was the video leak. The action that ensues gives the book a faster and more enjoyable pace. At that point, the main character Emira finally starts getting a voice and some depth. That was probably the best part about this book for me, and why I am rating it 3 stars: Emira’s evolution as a character.
