Ms. Marvel, Vol. 2: Generation Why by G. Willow Wilson

4.0

To me, comics are kind of like Netflix or junk food for the brain, just a break. But how wonderful to get a break with a super hero I can finally identify with, a young woman of color, who practices Islam, who totally kicks butt. I feel grateful this comic series exists and can't wait to pick the third one up from the library tomorrow.

I especially encourage this series for any young woman who has ever felt at odds or out of place in her life. Who knows? Maybe we'll get a movie someday too.
