oh buddy. i have no idea how to rate this. do i believe the writer has accomplished what he'd wanted to accomplish? definitely. i also believe it is a masterpiece of a book. and it was a quick read and it was so captivating and kept you going the whole way through. so five stars. but do i wish i could unread it? yes. if someone asks me what's wrong with me now, i'll just send them the link to an epub or online bookstore, leading them to this particular novella. truly, disgusting doesn't begin to describe it, and like yes, that is the point, but i genuinely hate how it made me feel??? so one star. so all in all three stars? but that would not do it any literary justice. i feel like this book has so much value and three stars would just spoil it. i also hate this uncertainty. this is hell and reading this book was hell. i've read the trigger warnings, and to be honest it wasn't my imagination that made me hate it all, but the fact that it was so unresolved and the fact that i, myself, could not solve it. and it is so sick so sick. i both love and hate it. please help. here, five stars, and i expect in return to forget the contents of this book. if, however, i forget to forget, i will stay content without the yearning to reread this book. once was enough.
