I'll be honest. I didn't expect to enjoy this book at all. I only bought it because (a) The movie was coming out soon. (b) It was there and I was there so i bought it. But i admit, I'm so glad I bought it. This was such a quick read, seriously, i read it within a few hours. The storyline was thrilling. You'd think not considering it's about a messed up relationship between two teenagers. A womanizing jack-ass and a cynical and bitter girl who just didn't do the romance. She faces her problems by throwing herself at him, the womanizer. Not thinking of the consequences, just that it distracted her. She wanted an escape from the problems she was having at home, and it just so happened that escape was Wesley Rush.

I admit, I found myself swooning here and there at Wesley Rush (because I know he is played by Robbie Amell aka hottie!!) because deep down he isn't a bastard. He actually cares and has problems like everyone else. He didn't hide the fact that yeah, his current lifestyle was sleeping with girls, but he wasn't ashamed of that.

I found myself having a sort of connection to Bianca Piper, simply because her parents were unfit for each other and should've been divorced years ago, and not knowing how to cooperate with it. I didn't handle it like Bianca did. (though I wouldn't have minded having a Wesley Rush to escape to, especially if he looked like Robbie Amell!!)

The message of this book is what's inspiring, everyone is a duff. It doesn't matter who you are, because everyone has insecurities and feel ugly or fat or "not the perfect friend" of the group. That's just who we are. Always trying to define ourselves to put us down, to make ourselves feel bad. But why? Why, when we have friends who can only bring us up, and be there for us through hell and back! Biance Piper is a Duff. I am a Duff. We all are Duffs, so why not be proud of who we are, because that's not so bad.

That sounded really lame, and cheesy, I might delete that soon.... ohmygodhowcheesy.
Also, I don't think the movie is going to be like the book, but still seems interesting BC Robbie Amell and Bella Thorne!
