Aaaaahhhhhh! What a great sequel to Lovely, Dark and Deep! Second time around I love the characters just as much. Cain portrays who each character is to the reader so well. I usually have a hard time remembering things from one book to the next, but not this time. I remember everyone’s role, their personality traits, their quirks.

While reading Wicked Walking, I actually felt like I was going through what the characters were going through. The writing is so well done, and the journey explained with the right descriptors. I saw what the characters saw, I felt what they felt, I experienced all the things they experienced.

I cannot explain to you how much I want the third book lol. I want to know what happens, I want to know where this story is headed. So much happened in this book that I either did not anticipate or I did not anticipate until the next book. To me this puts Cain in a whole different category of authors because she is not afraid to write the hard stuff and she clearly is not afraid to throw in some surprises!

If you are looking for some Autumn/Halloween seasonal books add Lovely, Dark and Deep and Wicked Walking to that list. They don’t have to be read at that time of year, but witches and other beings, you know???

Thank you SO much to Claudia Cain for sending me a gifted copy of this book! I hope others love it as much as I do!!!!
