I know I keep saying this but this book has so much. As a change up this is from Nesta and Cassian’s POV, it’s the first dual pov in this series and of course the first time we’re getting Nesta’s. When it first starts, I personally still very much disliked Nesta. I understand that she’s been through some things (they all have), but my dislike towards her is her entitlement and how she treats others. She bites the hand that feeds her so to speak. When she finally screws up enough for the others to say enough, she’s forced to look at herself and other around her. She’s forced to acknowledge her trauma and the trauma of those around her. Her story/redemption arc is just simply beautiful.

Also, I know this gives us a lot of insight to Cassian, but I feel like this just strengthens what we already knew and how we felt about him. Other than Amren he’s the only person that’s really seen Nesta and accepted her for what she is. He’s for her what Rhys was for Feyra in terms of support, strength, understanding and friendship. Perfect.
