How to Fall Out of Love Madly by Jana Casale

3.0

Had to sit on this book for a bit in order to articulate how I felt about it. I loved the writing - it felt tender and fresh and the prose were super funny at times yet very real and raw as well. The way the author was able to observe and showcase such minor details in our day to day lives as women was amazing and there were a lot of parts I connected with. However, I felt like the characters for their age (mid to late 20s) were very childish and immature and the ending was too rushed so didn’t feel as satisfying as it was intended. I felt like it was trying to be very profound at times and take a look at modern feminism - but all the insights were so surface level and stories revolved around these shitty men too much for my liking.
