I really enjoyed this book, the prose is at times very dreamlike making it a beautiful read. I don't think I've ever read a book set in Peru before, so this was really interesting as it covers a big chunk of Peruvian history. I liked how interwoven all the characters were with each other and the skillful way the author reveals that gradually.
The only thing I would say (and this isn't a criticism of the book) is that if you have fatigue issues like I do it is at times quite overwhelming. Best to read it when you aren't feeling foggy headed so you can experience the full depth of the book.
