4.5 stars for epic feels! Not a perfect book in some ways, but it kept making me want to cry!
Declan especially is just full of all the feelings and I want to hug him! Juliet is a little harder for me, but her grief is still really well written. As was her relationship with her dad, I felt the disconnect due to grief was great and in fact was a little sad it was so neatly tied off.
In fact that was my main gripe about the book - it’s all suddenly sorted towards the end. I get it, but life doesn’t suddenly turn around for everyone going through hard times so that felt a little off for me.
My favourite things were the relationship between Declan and Frank, and the English teacher. 💙 both showing that sometimes all you need is for someone to see past the outside for a second.
