Popsugar 2023 #6-Advanced: A book with a pet character (Sindbad the dog)

I messed up reading this. I had three paper books that I wanted to read so I could return them to the library, and I was reading this a chapter or two at a time so that I wouldn't lose my Kindle streak, and reading it chunked up like that made it really hard to keep track of January's arc versus the book-within-the-book. When I finished the third library book, I had to kind of re-orient myself to this novel. I read the second half more or less in a straight shot.

I still loved it. The writing was beautiful. The worlds the author built were beautiful. I felt like I transported through each door myself.

I'm already looking forward to reading this again properly.
