In this book Emily and Adam form a relationship and the pace is fast. They are happy, in love and everything is perfect... or at least it would be if it wasn't for the other woman in his life - his mother. She is vile to Emily but as far as Adam is concerned his mum can do no wrong. Pamela, Adam's mother, is determined to come between them but only Emily sees this side of her.
There were so many things I hated about this book. Emily is a doormat, Adam is vile and she just keeps making excuses for his behaviour... but it was a really compelling read and I couldn't put it down! I felt the whole story was just so unlikely but I felt mostly satisfied with the ending.
