Eat and Run: My Unlikely Journey to Ultramarathon Greatness, by Steve Friedman, Scott Jurek

4.0

Great memoir of one of the great runners of our time. Jurek comes off a little braggy, if you will, but I think he's earned that right, he has backed it up at the biggest races in the world. He also doesn't shy away from some uglier stuff like fractured relationships over the years.
I read this in preparation for a race, hoping to pick up some tips from one of the best, and I did. I also feel a little discouraged from exploring anything super ultra because of some of the descriptions of Jurek's experiences.
I want to try some of the recipes published in the book as well.
