Indiana by George Sand

3.0

The whipsaw of "she loves me, she loves me not, he loves me, he loves me not" about drove me crazy. It's no wonder that everyone was so wacko with each other. This may have been considered early feminist literature, but Indiana really had little control over her life, and no desire to take control. Raymon was completely manipulative of her and others.
