Ehhhh....I struggled to get through this. The beginning is really intense and really shows the struggles Ava has gone through although you don't really get the full scope until the 2nd to last chapter. Afterwards, once she's with the pack, there really isn't a great deal happening. It's just about her learning to trust the pack and build those relationships. The attack while she was giving her statement seemed out of place. I expected the full attack of her fathers forces, but no - it was just a random guy.
At the end, even her father coming after her, I expected more forces, not just her alone. This story just fell flat for me. The spice was fine, the relationships built and grew and it all ended happily, but this was just a slow, painful read for me.
