This book took me a bit longer than I intended to get through it, but I did! While I had no experience with Kiley Reid's writing before this, her unique voice shines through this one in the form of longer run on sentences that inhibit fast reading and a feeling of "yeah, this is exactly how someone would say, do, or think this".

Come and Get It has a rich cast of characters that we find in a small snapshot of their lives. A Professor going through a breakup, an RA with big hopes and dreams, and many smaller roles that fill up the voids and create complicated situations that you'd find on a college campus. I'd akin it to being similar to a game of telephone, with so many convoluted and twisted words, thoughts, and feelings that would arise when we don't have the full story or the full picture.

The audience feels like apart of this book, the bystander that has all of the important details and information and yet we are simply that, an observer of this story unfolding and gnarling before our eyes.

I'd recommend this to someone who wants a realistic, character driven story that mimics real life in an incredible and artistic way. Kiley Reid has a unique voice, and I can see not everyone being hooked with it so give the first few chapters a read first and then decide if you'll take the plunge.
