Into the Silence: The Great War, Mallory and the Conquest of Everest by Wade Davis

adventurous informative reflective sad medium-paced

4.5

Lots of dense information but a wonderful look into the time period of some of the last places for humans to conquer. Have snippets from diaries and journals not just from the main person but all involved gave you a door way into the think and how each drama and set back occurred. Apart from Everest adventures, the insight to battles of world war one and history of Tibet was fantastic and highly informative. I learnt a lot from this that I did not know before.
