Before this book, my favorite book was perks of being a wallflower. Since I was 14, it's been my favorite. 19 years.
This is, in some ways, the adult version of perks.
I might have a new favorite book.
I had downloaded about 50 new books onto my kindle, at the recommendations of book of the months "book of the year" - no other criteria. Overwhelmed with options, I literally just decided to go in alphabetical order. And I'm so, so happy this was the first one.
I've never related to a character so much and felt so seen. Or hated another character so much. I actually threw my kindle down a few times. (gently, but still.)
