The Hellion's Waltz by Olivia Waite

4.0

4/5

I love badass females fighting the patriarchy and falling in love, and Olivia Waite does it so well. The chemistry was so real between Sophie and Maddie, even though their love was a little quick.

I really loved the role of music and fabric in this. The music and Sophie's struggle with it was so beautiful to read about and I nearly cried at the Hellion's Waltz. Maddie's genius with sewing was super interesting and I love how it was portrayed as a strength. There was this underground type feeling with the sewing as there's a rebellion plot going on and it was honestly fascinating.

I'm so glad I liked this book after loving the first in the series and then hating the second. But this once again showed how amazing Olivia Waite is at writing badass sapphic women!
