Haven't They Grown by Sophie Hannah

4.0

You’d be forgiven for thinking that the premise of the book lends the readers to assume that this book has elements of the supernatural - it doesn’t.

This was a good thriller that I found very interesting to read, but like with other Sophie Hannah books that I’ve read, her writing style is just not for me.
Perhaps this is where Sophie and I part ways on our reading journey.

Overall I found it a very gripping storyline; the ending and the reasoning I found to be quite far fetched, and I hated the random little snippets of pointless info scattered throughout - what did Zannah’s stunt with her teacher have to do with the storyline? Absolutely nothing.

Looking back, perhaps my 4 stars is a bit generous considering Towards the end I wanted to slap Beth and Zannah, but I really was intrigued so that’s why it’s getting a higher rating.

Gah.
Sorry bye.
