The Imaginary Corpse by Tyler Hayes
4.0
3.5 stars rounded up to 4
Very ambitious story that tackles both world-building and somewhat heavy themes of trauma and self-acceptance. I listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did such a nice job that sometimes it was extra hard to hear children get hurt/stressed.
Still, needs some attentive period to get into, may need reread at some point
