I was intrigued by this book, but I didn’t ever really connect with it. I didn’t really buy any of the relationships in the book, and I didn’t think it ended up anywhere particularly satisfying. I did really like the fairy tales woven throughout.
Graphic: Child death, Medical content, Fire/Fire injury, and Pregnancy
Almost everyone dies at the start of the book. Pregnancy is a big theme, and Heather’s twin babies die horribly during the book.
