Jamie Conklin isn’t an ordinary child. He is the son of a struggling single mother and he also posses a particular gift.
He can see and talk to the dead.
The dead cannot lie when asked a question leaving Jamie to know things no one else can.
Jamies mom knows he can do this, she urges him to keep it secret, but over time only 2 other people know the truth, expect for the dead.
One of these people seeks Jamie out to use his ability for good and bad. Jamie isn’t given a choice. Little does he know that using his ability can open the window for more evil to set in. He later discovers this when he is asked to pursue a killer who has threatened to strike from beyond the grave.
This a great Stephen King read, psychologically structured with a touch of the supernatural making the story fast paced and interesting!
