The Late Great Wizard by Sara Hanover
2.0
I wanted to like this; I tried. Ultimately, I couldn't get into it, and was totally not connected with Tessa. I did not finish this.
I found the writing style to be up and down. There were points where it had me fully engaged, but others where I felt it drifted off into droning on and I got distracted.
This may have been a case of me being too old to understand/relate to the protagonist. Tessa hit me as childish and whiny at points and while I admit she has reason to feel sorry for herself, it still irked me.
I think this just wasn't the right book for me.
