I knocked off half a star because of the white saviour trope but if it weren’t for that this would be one of my all time faves. The storytelling is masterful, it keeps you asking questions and falling so in love with all three narrators. So many lovable primary and secondary characters in this one really and each one has a believable and moving arc. A story that sticks with you years after finishing.
Graphic: Racial slurs and Racism
Moderate: Gun violence and Police brutality
Minor: Cancer and Toxic relationship
