4 stars!

My review won't be too long because there's already soooo many reviews that does this book justice.

This book starts off with a punch to the stomach and booooyyyy does it hook you in!

Well, this book made it feel like I was coming home after a very long time. I loved being in the head of the original Brothers. It was such a pleasant surprise that we got to be in Vishous' head! I love that man something fierce!

Rhage is always the happy and lightest Brother of them all. But in this book, he discovers he wants something he's never thought he would want; a child. The need for it consumes him until it makes him do things he wouldn't regularly do.

Mary makes work her life, choosing to ignore the distance between her and her mate until something happens that makes this no longer an option. Rhage and Mary are still as cute as ever! I loved seeing their love develop into something different and more beautiful.

Why only 4 stars? Well, to start, the language wasn't matching the characters. When it came to Mary's POV I found her narrative to be quite different than what we're used to. I went back to their first story and I was right. She seemed more "hood" in this one. It could be that Rhage was rubbing off on her but I don't know...

Also, I felt like this was more a "day in the life" of the Brothers since nothing really happened. Yes, we get "certain" things that might change the game but...I don't know. This series expanded more to just a paranormal romance series and I expected more. My head was still turning with all the POV switches but I mean, that was to be expected because it's J.R. Ward. I still throughly enjoyed this book because I love those men and that awesome fallen-angel, Lassiter. Did I mention that I love him!??

Zsadist!!! OHHH MANNN YOU MELTED MY HEART EVERY TIME YOU GRACED THESE PAGES! I LOVE YOU.
