This book was utterly refreshing and a joy to read. Telling the story using two converging timelines made uncovering the mystery and discerning the truths and lies behind the Draigon feel natural. I also appreciated that the book features two POVs that feel distinct and are equally compelling. It was worrisome at first that the female characters are going to wallow in and be crushed by the oppressive society. But luckily this was turned on its head and the female protagonist had full control of her story.
