Fallen Star by Susannah Nix

5.0

I should know by now that anything Susannah Nix writes is gold to me. I wasn’t sure about this one for some reason but it didn’t take long to fall for this two lovable rascals.

Scott is coming back into the movie industry after a spectacle burn out with drugs and alcohol. Clean now and rebuilding his life he’s got one shot at rebuilding his reputation and showing everyone he’s not just a good looking drug addict. Hard working Grace has been on plenty of movie sets and worked with a lot of diva actors as a script supervisor, but this one is proving to be a while new adventure. With Scott being a complete jerk on set the first day but showing some venerability when he needs some help from her later that night. They have a bumpy start but these two very different people have a lot in common and it doesn’t take long for them to catch real feelings and start something never is sure they will want to stop.

I love the duel 3rd person perspective for this book. It’s nice to get both side of the story and understand the feeling of these character especially when a lot of the conflict comes for miscommunication and keeping their feeling to themselves.

The burn is slow with this one but its worth the wait. Nix delivers nice steamy spice that is always satisfying!

I throughly enjoyed this book it was fun to “be on set” with these characters and all the research Nix did about making movies was spot on and cool to read! The supporting characters were all great, particularly Carmen the wardrobe supervisor, its fun to read about the thing I do for a living!
