Always an Olivia: A Remarkable Family History by Carolivia Herron

3.0

I had high hopes for this, as it was the only book I found that had a multicultural Jewish family (besides a few centering on adoption), but I felt that the story dragged in places and was definitely too much (kidnapping, slavery, etc.) for the age of children I read to (not that you can't talk to young children about those topics, my time with them is just too short). An older child might find it more fascinating.
