The Garden of Eden by Ernest Hemingway

3.0

Not my favorite Hemingway novel. Dialogue was stilted between the couple and the premise rather bizarre to me (wife pretends to be a man when they make love and eventually invites a stranger into a love triangle). However, the narratives of Africa and the father-son relationship that takes place in Africa saves this book from a dismal two stars. Hemingway also finishes this book very well. Worth picking up if you are a Hemingway fan, otherwise start with For Whom The Bell Tolls or To Have and Have Not.
