I watched The Princess Bride movie many times before I read the book, and the fairy tale plot of the book is pretty much exactly the same as the movie with just a few extra details. I honestly could do without the parts of the book about the author as he’s not a very likable character, so this may be a rare case where I actually prefer the movie over the book. Still, between the classic fairy tale and the nostalgia factor, I had to give it a high rating.
