It was ok. There was a lot of hype about this book, so maybe my expectations were too high. Lots of adventure and very fast-paced (maybe a bit too fast). I really enjoyed the monsters and the fairytale storytelling through an Eastern European lense. I didn't enjoy the love interest (there wasn't much to make us like him), and I feel it made more sense for the love interest to be Kasia. The very fast pace made it difficult to process events or develop any sort of feelings about them before the next event unfolded.
