Too predictable?! Fan fiction!? Trying too hard!? Ok i take the second comment back because there are some amazing fanfictions out there to which this book absolutely cannot compare. Oh the Elyon's prince is hiding a big dark secret & i was kinda excited about that. You should know there aren't much to be excited about this book, so this was a BIG DEAL!! But no, his deep dark secret felt like a mesly joke compared to what it was made out to be. Phew, and Via was Octavia? No big deal. I didn't even care.

You might wonder about my first comment. Ofcourse its predictable, its a retelling after all. But before you facepalm over my stupidity let me tell you this. There were two book series & a standalone farytale retelling which made me fall in love with this genre and they were nothing like anything i have seen before. Yeah you guessed them right, The Lunar Chronicles and Cruel Beauty Universe. The standalone was Entwined by Heather Dixon, in case you were wondering.

And last i recall, Winter by Marissa Meyer was a retelling of Snow White so perfect and elegant & there was nothing you could predict about the story nor point out mistakes. So i'm not scorning for the sake of it. So, yeah.
