Shit Cassandra Saw by Gwen E. Kirby
5.0
4.5/5 (they really should half stars to the GoodReads rating system).
For my Women’s & Gender Studies degree, we read a lot of women’s literature. This collection heavily reminded me of some of the stories we read and films we saw in our capstone class. Obviously, Gwen E. Kirby is a white woman so the stories not based on historical figures are through that lense, but even still many of the experiences, inner feelings, and struggles are universal no matter what kind of woman you are. Perfect for anyone getting into contemporary feminist literature.
