JRR Tolkien's works are the biggest reason i still read today bc they made me realise how amazing these written worlds can really be, and there is no written world more interesting than middle earth. it was a great start to my intense reading phase when i was a kid, which lasted until I was in ~year 9, and probably started in ~year 6 (maybe earlier? no sure way to know in hindsight)
