Elizabeth's Wolf by Lora Leigh

5.0

I read this book when it first came out and I loved it then and love it now. This is one of my favorites of the Breed series. It is emotional with action and a dash of mystery. Cassie is the little girl who has a ‘fairy’ guiding her and everyone is trying to protect. Bad guys are after her and we learn why about halfway through the book. She is both wise and a little immature due to her situation. Dash is the Breed who has been able to hide in society. Lonely, emotionally afraid to get close to anyone, he comes in to save Cassie and her mother Elizabeth. Elizabeth is Cassie's mother and proves what a mother’s love is able to accomplish. She is strong, smart and knows when and how to stand up to Dash when he tries to dominate. Fair warning the sex is hot and steamy and would be crossing a line if the two (Dash and Elizabeth) were not willing participants. That is what makes the difference, the consent of both adults. The bottom line, this is well written, with great character's love story of people finding one another and becoming a family.
