WOW. THIS IS SO GOOD. Haven't read this in the longest time. So many details I had forgotten. Masterful plot, masterfully written characters and all feeling so real. Moving, shocking the this indeed the book where it all begins. It's the turning point and where JK Rowling took it from a children's series to a cultural phenomenon. Yes I know what she has said and I don't support her but I can't not point out how well written this world is. So many things going all at once in this one, so many smaller storylines included in the main one yet all so well thought. Only the SPEW one didn't get a resolution. Lastly, this was so emotional, in the end I could feel Harry's emotions, the burden of the situation felt real and tiring. When they started to prepare for war I got the chills. "What is come will come and we will be here to deal with it. I don't want it or need it but sth tells me we will all need a good laugh, we are as strong as we are united and as weak as we are not"
