Cruel Promises by Tori Fox

5.0

To say that Marley was the good girl is an understatement. Marley is the girl that usually follows her parents wishes, stays away from anyone that may not be devoted to the church, always helps out with church functions, worries about what her parents will think when she does something. But is this life what SHE wants? That's the question she starts asking herself. With the help of her best friend Willow they dress up and go out for the night, to a rock star's party. Once she's there, she cannot take her eyes off Silas, and everyone is telling her to stay away from him. But no matter how hard she tries there is a pull between them that neither of them can deny. This one night together changes their whole lives.

I LOVED Cruel Promises. Usually I have to skip a few pages in the beginning of a book, but this one I was captivated from the first page. Silas and Marley's story pulls you in and the twists and turns don't let you out until you reach their HEA. Silas and Marley are complete opposites, he lived a hard life and she has lived the Christian sheltered life. But once they start talking and getting to know one another they realize how perfect they are for one another. How they make each other better, stronger. This book brings out all the feels and sometimes you want to shake Marley and yell What is wrong with you? But you cannot help but fall in love with these characters and you watch them fall for each other. I highly recommend.
