These books are like the sweetest hug from your best friend.

Our boys are growing up and I just smiled so big throughout this whole book. Crushed it in one sitting. It’s the penultimate treat we’ve been hoping for.

These books and show have been the best addition to my year and I’m so happy I got to end 2024 with our long awaited update.

What the actual hell? This book was SO FUN, SO CUTE, SO SEXY!!! And it is 100% two serial killers who get into the grossest hijinx. Cannibalism comes up, the ice cream incident, so much murder.

And yet during it I was kicking my feet and squealing with delight. Also among the hottest scenes I’ve read in a LONG time. I cannot recommend the audiobook more. Those two acted their asses off and I have never heard dual narration that had more flow and finesse. Irish accents… are great. I assume reading the comedy would still have the same effect, but they had such amazing comedic timing. I was blushing and guffawing.

I seriously couldn’t have expected this book to land the way it did for me. I love romance and occaisionally love a true crime/thriller type, but reading about two serial killers in love would never in thousand years would strike me as compelling. I’m so so glad I followed the recommendation because this was such an end of the year dark horse. It will 100% top my EOY favorites list and I had no idea that was coming.

If you like spicy romcoms and are a little unhinged - run, don’t walk.

I really hoped book two would live up to the hype around it from folks whose taste always align with mine. But I really really struggled through this book. The world building just felt tedious. Great developments but not enough of a book to fall into to keep me engaged enough to continue to book 3 sadly. Big disappointment for me.
