I just absolutely adored this book. Witty and funny and an all together lighthearted read. Once I finished I just wanted to know more about the Savoie family and sisters. I loved the true feel of New Orleans it gave off. Made me want to plan a trip ASAP. This book was a perfect pallet cleanser. I will continue the standalone series to get more of these characters

I enjoyed Raihn and Oraya’s story. I liked how they really had to fight over and over again to win their kingdom back. Even though I was a little disappointed how Nyaxia showing up just ended the battle. They had to retreat and lick their wounds and then continue to come back for more. I will probably continue to read books in this world

I was expecting the ending to have a bigger impact on me emotionally. The first book is best of the series so far. I loved to merge between worlds/series. But I don’t know I just expected more and I don’t know how else to describe it

This is an emotional and heartwarming story. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the writing style when I first started because it was different than anything I’ve read. But I absolutely loved this book. It will be a book that I reread over the years. The story had a constant undertone of melancholy to me but in the best way. A true coming of age story along with found family in the best way and the perfect romance to boot. I went in essentially blind to the plot. Only knowing it was about wolves. This was my first full read of 2024 and I wouldn’t doubt if it is my favorite of the whole year.
