Great book! Same as the past books in the series; the plot is prioritised over character building. I personally don't mind it though. It's still very much an amazing series. Can't wait to read the next :)
AMAZING. It feels like a fairytale, childhood nightmare, ghibli-esque story and slice of comedy all in one. I hadn't known Bahasa Indonesia could be played around with in the way Ziggy had done so! It's written like a children's storybook but wrapped around silly wordplay, dark undertones, and sprinkled with a bit of kata-kasar-tapi-bikin-kocak. In a nutshell, it feels like a story or superstition parents would tell children, like, "kalo ga sikat gigi, nanti dimakan buaya..." The footnotes were also greatly entertaining.
