The Z Word by Lindsay King-Miller

Oh I wanted to like it so bad. Everything just felt rushed, the characters were two dimensional and it suffered, like many queer books, from just vomiting a character cast made up of the ‘people you may see at pride’ 

It wasn’t all bad, and some of the body horror/zombie chapters where we moved away from Wendy’s POV were genuinely really well written, creepy and moving

But it just lacked substance for me
