There were too many points of view and in addition to this the characters were mentioned with multiple names (Emilio, Colonel, Colonel Gariboldi, Emilio Gariboldi, etc), the Colonel was the easiest to identify because he is the main character, but this happened with every character, this made the story confusing and hard to follow.
