A little to on the nose needs more indirect characterization

Did not finish book. Stopped at 27%.

It was alright just some of the language and just overall vibes were weird. Donna Tartt is very bad at dealing with queer issues and uses the f slur for absolutely no reason or resolution. I don’t appreciate the just bigotry in every book. (The gold flinch) yeah just not my cup of tea. Im a little sad because most people said it was going to be great and I love Greek myth. Well next time.

Very rarely does a book bring such raw emotion to me. I felt as if this were written for me in ways only specific people could understand. The way it made me feel not alone. The way it burned my heart. The way the characters feel real and fleshed out. I think that it’s very hard to write characters that feel like they were always there. Like we could see a like clip of their life and still feel like it would continue. Sorry for rambling so much. Definitely believe everyone, queer or otherwise, should read this book. Although I don’t know if it will reach people the same it did me. You are not alone and you will meet your crowd one day
