Okay I honestly never thought I‘d read this book because I don’t like the cover one bit and I think it’s a shame because the book itself wasn’t too bad?
I only read this because, well. TikTok made me do it, the synopsis actually sounded like something I could like and I needed something short in between finishing a book and a buddy read I didn’t wanted to start early. So, this novella length book that I could download via KU was kinda perfect for that. And I‘m so happy I enjoyed the book, it was so much fun? I mean, it’s about a serial killer, which is obviously horrible but it was still fun. I love a good revenge and how to get away with murder story and mix in some romance and… yeah. It was really really fun and I already downloaded the second book. 😅

This very much felt like The Love Hypothesis and I very much don’t care because as you may know, I absolutely adore TLH but… I hope future Ali Hazelwood books will have the same banter and funny inner monologues but feel different. I don’t want to read the same book over and over.
But I did really really liked Under one Roof anyway, as I said. It made a long drive so much more fun and the only complaint I have is that it was a bit short in the end. I know it’s a novella but still, the last chapter and epilogue weren’t wrapping the story up in my opinion? I would have liked a few more scenes with an „end of the story“ feeling, if that makes sense.

I didn’t remember anything from reading this book… I don’t know how many years ago. But I‘m pretty sure I didn’t appreciate it for what it is when I was younger.
I love this book SO much. It discussed such great topics, the characters are amazing - this is hate to love how I like it and the slowburn romance was *chef‘s kiss* - and the relationships felt so real and complicated and I just loved it. So much.

Lieb‘s.
