for some reason (probably something i can't mention here) i was into the first half enough to continue it despite being aware of the age difference, but as i finished that off and tried to move forward...it lost whatever its appeal was to me. i don't know. i'll see if i'd be in the mood to finish it tomorrow but i really don't think i will. i might rewatch the movie, though!

turns out i do love sci-fi, but i may be better off watching it than reading, at least for now while i'm on a nonfiction streak

i loved this. i'm no professional nor am i a BPD-diagnosed individual, but this was delightfully comprehensive. i honestly didn't know much about psychology in general getting into this but it provided me with the right foundational knowledge about psychoanalysis. BPD alone was something of interest to me but the context in which it was introduced was engaging as well as thought-provoking! the longer chapters may intimidate some but i swear, you'll find yourself reading so much of the book in just one sitting. i probably would've finished it faster if only i didn't see myself in Kriss's writing!
