Would not recommend it to anyone tbh. It's... okay. The main couple is cute. There were moments. but. overall. nah. it was just too much. A good lighthearted read though if you're looking for a text to read.

Piranesi lived among statues: silent presences that brought him comfort and enlightenment.

Piranesi... I can relate to him a lot: how he views the house with such respect and adoration. OMG. The story felt too slow for me at the start. After the second chapter however I couldn't stop reading. GOD I love Piranesi sm... I love the gradual reveal and everything... the ending is so :[ </3 I'm forever thankful to have experienced this; the house and everything.

The Beauty of the House is immeasurable; its Kindness infinite.
3.75⭐, mainly due to the wrong & high expectations I set on this book. I still loved it.

Love how light and charming it was <3 At times felt so real, but I didn't really want the realness of reality to be spewed back to me. Overall a good experience! Now I want pizza

THE. ENDING. Did not expect the story to be ending the way it was and... wow.

Never felt so seen in my entire life. So many relatable unspeakable ideas, opinions, views, conveyed spectacularly by Sinclair and even Demian. I enjoyed their takes on Bible stories. It's incredible how a lot of the ideas here, especially the views Sinclair had in his early age, are still relevant to this day. This book is timeless.

Also the bit with Demian's mother is... something else.

There were key moments and lines that were really good but LORD. I DID. NOT. CARE!!!!! For any of the characters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love half of the third chapter but the last 10 pages... I did not give a shit anymore? At that point just end it already. Why are you still yapping.

The first two chapters are fine. I guess. A lot of pacing issues but for a really short book it's whatever.

Personally think it would've probably been so much better if we weren't immediately thrown in the middle of Montag's deviation. Let the reader grow alongside him and MAYBE I would've rooted for him...? I have no clue. This book makes me sick.

"Let's see where this goes, shall we?"

All I hear when people talk about this book are about its VIBES. vibes, vibes, more vibes, only vibes. something something dark academia something vibes. While I personally don't consider this dark academia, my god did the vibes deliver.
Absolutely zero expectations of character and plot when I open the first page. I even initially thought I'd have a hard time following. My heart is pounding fast as I'm recollecting all the short stories slipped between the main plot. I love how loved they are. As the book is reaching its end and all of these seemingly irrelevant children fairy tales come together... By the end my heart feels warm and full.

Didn't expect to fall in love with anyone, let alone everyone. Love the ending. This book was an amazing once in a lifetime experience and I'm glad to have indulged it!
