Broder, you fumbled the ball, but still a feral book for feral women <3

First the good:
- Sappho Appreciation
- Bukowski Slander
- love addiction group (chef's kiss)
- the semi-plot twist?

Now the bad:
This could have been so wacky, poignant, and beautiful. But, it wasn't. Ending felt very forced, really did a bad job setting up the idea that love between women (familial and friendship) can help cure the longing love addiction the MC is feeling? Also, the general ick feeling of the sexy times were so gross at points I just skipped them. I felt like I was committing bestiality by merely reading them. Also all the weird obsession with butt stuff and shit was a bit more refined in Milk Fed.

Really underwhelming......
The poetry was mid and the art was mid. Why is this so popular????????

1. I hate Ted Hughes.
2. What the fuck just happened?
3. Not a book to read if you have a raging fear of crows.

Zadie Smith is an icon. I thought the entire collection was solid, but 'Contempt as a Virus' was masterful!
