This book felt like a middle grade novel written for adults. That's not to say it didn't have its charms, but the writing felt very basic and the characters/plot were pretty flat. It was also far too long with very little plot or development.

This is still probably one of my favorite romance books. These characters are so great, and I love everything that happens even if it feels farfetched. It's just such a sweet read.

This book is like 'what if we did Harry Potter but everything about wizardry sucked.' The story was just a bummer and a lot of psychological torture and manipulation? Very much not what I expected and not great on its own either.

The people are right: this book is the perfect cozy fall read! It was such a sweet story. The cast of characters are all so lovable and the story kept me entertained while not being too high-stakes. The romance is so precious--I'd read a whole other book just about those two. It took me awhile to get into this one, but once I did, I was sold. Perfect little found family book <3

I've somehow made it through 25 years of life not having read or seen a production of A Raisin in the Sun. I see why it's so highly regarded! This was great to read, I have to imagine it's even better to watch live.

A Field Guide to Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit

Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
I've been trying to read this book for like five years now, and every time I pick it up to read it, it never hits. Starting believe that's a me problem. It seems like a perfectly good book, I just haven't been in the mood to read it for years, so I think it's time to call it quits.

Not too much happened in this book, but the vibes were good. overall, I was a bit disappointed in the characters and character development by the end.

This book was sweet and accomplished exactly what it wanted to. Didn't blow me away by any means, but did make me really want pastries.

I loooved this world! I would've read this as a full novel. It had that Ali Hazelwood flare that I'm apparently a huge sucker for. I felt like I got a good sense of these characters quickly, and the man was whipped, which is the Ali Hazelwood speciality. And I'll eat it up every time! The cover for this is also just so cute that I feel I had no choice but to love this story.
